Keira Knightley In Launching Ceremony Her New Movie: Actresses Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan are set to open the 54th BFI London Film Festival, according to reports. The two British actresses will open London’s 2010 Film Festival with the European premiere of their new movie, ‘Never Let Me Go,’ on 13 October.

The movie has been directed by Mark Romanek and is based on Kazuo Ishiguro’s popular novel. Actor Andrew Garfield, who was recently announced as the new Spider-Man, will also join the two stars at the premiere of the film, in which they play friends who grew up together at an English boarding-school.

The Festival’s artistic director, Sandra Hebron, said: “It is a great pleasure to be able to open the festival with a film as accomplished and imaginative as Never Let Me Go. It combines impeccable filmmaking, outstanding performances and a deeply moving story, and I couldn’t wish for a stronger or more appropriate opening night.”
