Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley says playing herself is “terrifying”. Talking on US morning programme The Today Show, Knightley, 26, said that the director of her new movie Last Night asked her to “play herself as much as possible' for the role. “It was terrifying,” she said. 'That’s the last thing any actor wants to hear but the director happens to be one of my best friends, so she was just like ‘do that thing that you do' and I was like ‘no, please don’t make me do that’. But I did it in the end.'
Knightley added that the movie, about a couple who are tempted to be unfaithful during their seven-year marriage, is not directly about her. “I have never been married, it’s not me, it is a character,” she said.
