Keira Knightley and Anne Hathaway: Dark Knight Rises: Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley are reportedly two of at least six actresses being considered by director Christopher Nolan to play juicy roles in the final film of his reboot of the “Batman” franchise.

According to Deadline.com, Nolan is set to meet with Hathaway and Knightley, among others, for the possibility of playing any of two important women in the life of Bruce Wayne in “The Dark Knight Rises,” which is due for a 2012 release. Also being considered to play either Batman’s love interest or one of the villains are Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, and Blake Lively.

Also expected to join “The Dark Knight Rises” is Tom Hardy, who recently appeared in Nolan’s top-grossing film “Inception.” Nolan has been secretive of the roles any of the actors and actresses would play. Only the role of Christian Bale, who plays Batman/Bruce Wayne, is clear so far, although there are reports that one of the villain roles would go to Hardy.
